The Vampire is an extremely difficult machine to pilot and has never seen much use outside of (GOT)Agency forces as it is dependent on its pseudo-AI systems to keep it in the air – without that support only the very best pilots are capable of doing anything with it outside of flying very fast in a straight line and hoping nothing gets in their way. With the pseudo-AI routines it becomes marginally more agile but remains sluggish and requires a very large turning circle at anything other than very slow speeds. It is, as the public often calls it, just a big flying gun.

Pegaso SA (Spain – Earth (TQ10)) produces the core components of the Vampire, and the mass-accelerators are produced and fitted at Warminster.
