Instructions for the Deus Roller
1) Lay out the Dice-Roller 2mm MDF elements as shown:
2) Apply glue to the tabs (we recommend Deluxe Materials Super-Phatic Glue)
3)
4) Fit into place the “shelves” making sure that the bottom one is positioned correctly (with the longer element toward the bottom) and then add the opposite side like this:
5) Attach the other two sides to form a cube cross-section – it can help to put into place the top section to ensure everything is “square” but DO NOT glue this in place
6) Cut the following parts out of the grey frame (Always cut parts out from the REAR of the frame, do NOT push parts out by hand), put these parts to one side for now
7) Now take the flat outer advertising panels and attach the Vinyl Stickers (or Photo images)
8) Once the Advertising panels are ready attach them to the inner dice-roller structure. To ensure everything sits where it should invert the Dice Roller so that the top of the advertising panel is at the top of the dice roller –
9) Check that the advertising panels do not stick out form the edges:
10) Take the two top sections and glue one to the other as shown:
11) Now take the acrylic frame and using a good knife cut out the tabs to release the edging-strips:
12) Take the four shorter sections and remove the backing covering from them all, once that is done apply a thin line of Tacky-Glue (we recommend Deluxe Materials Tacky Glue) to the strips…
and position them along the outside of the top panel as shown:
Remove any excess glue from the top and allow a few minutes for the glue to start to set – at this point you then need to remove the entire top section to ensure that you do not glue it into the top of the dice roller:
The top section should now look like this – put this part to one side to allow the glue to set up entirely on this part
13) We can now go back to the Base and see how the parts fit together – the upper portion of the dice roller fits snugly into slots in the base…
There is then a “Backstop” panel that you glue into the removable part of the base… Also remove the casting-lug from the base of the Bench…
The “backstop” fits snugly into the Deus Roller…
In front of this you glue the Bench (once painted) and, if needed, you can use the “spacer bar” to ensure that the base at the back of the bench is not touching the backstop:
.. when pushed into place the backstop will be flush with the interior of the dice roller, but the Bench sits a small way out to allow for the advertising panel parts (see images)
14) Paint the benches before gluing into place – and whilst they are drying finish the tower by adding the long Acrylic parts to the tower using Tacky Glue:
… check that the top of the acrylic strips fit so that the lid can be placed on and off easily (as shown)
.. hold in place to dry with some elastic bands and then glue into the base plate:
You’ve now finished your Deus Roller – we recommend leaving it so that the glue is all firmly set before using it, and remember not to leave the Lid on top of the roller whilst the glue is drying (otherwise you might glue it on permanently!)
