I’m off ill with a bad back atm, laid-up in bed or on the floor in fact, so a little slow posting this up as Nadine has been manning the fort.
Last night the server cloud that our website is on was “hacked”, although saying it was hacked is giving it a bit more drama than it deserves. A script was entered into the server that redirected anybody who viewed websites on that server to a page saying “this website has been hacked” blah blah blah. In fact no such thing had happened and it was merely a kiddy-script re-direct that had been pushed onto the server, calling that a “hack” is a bit of an overstatement.
As such the integrity of our website, and all of the information on it, remained 100% secure 100% of the time.
However, being somewhat disappointed with the overall security relating to that server cloud (which is a 3rd-party host) we’ve been moved off there to a different server-cloud with another host, even whilst kiddy-scripts are usually harmless it is still worrying that they weren’t fully protected against, so better safe than sorry and our IT management company has moved us “just in case”.
In the meantime we just want to reiterate and reassue people that our website was not hacked and that all of the information on it remained 100% secure.
